Our summer schedule of early worship is now coming to an end. On Sunday, September 11 RALLY DAY - we will return to our normal schedule of Sunday School at 9:00am and worship at 10:30am. Please make sure to take note of the date for the change.
RALLY DAY – SEPTEMBER 11, 2011

There is much happening on this day, so read the following articles so that you won’t miss out on all the fun and excitement for this special day.

Our “Rally Day” will begin with a gathering of all our children, youth and adults in the sanctuary. Our theme for the day is: “You are the Light of the World.”
While we will take time to remember the terrible events of 10 years ago we will also direct our thinking to how we are called to be a light in the “darkness” of this world.
We will hear scripture, sing a few hymns, have a discussion time and end with a beautiful candlelight ceremony based on the Lord’s Prayer.
So whether you normally come to Sunday School or not, please know you are most welcome to come this day for a very special program.
RALLY DAY WORSHIP - 10:30
Pastor Carl plans to have a special worship service this day that will lift up the 10th Anniversary of 9/11.
On this day we move back to our regular worship time of 10:30am. It is a day for all of our church members to recommit themselves to actively participate in worship and in the life of the congregation.
As part of the worship service we will have the installation of our Sunday School Staff.
RALLY DAY - CHURCH LUNCHEON
The Service and Outreach Ministry Team is planning on providing a luncheon for the congregation on Rally Day. You need not bring anything – nor will there be a “free-will” offering. This is their treat! Just sign up.

Plan on staying after worship to have a time of fellowship with your church family.

At the present time we have classes planned for those age 3 through adult.
This year we will have all of the younger children together in one class. They will be studying various Bible stories throughout the year. The Teen Class will be using the Sunday Lectionary material as will Pastor Carl in the Adult Class.
We are very excited about this coming season and we encourage everyone – children, youth and adults to be a part of this educational ministry of the church.
