holyweek
During Holy Week, the most sacred week in all Christendom, our worship will revolve around the theme, “The Faith of the Servant of God.”

Passion Sunday: The Servant Steps Forward
The order for the “Blessing of the Palms,” the reading of the “Passion According to St. Matthew,” and Holy Communion will be celebrated as Holy Week begins.

Maundy Thursday: The Servant Prepares
Worship begins with the sharing of a special “Seder Meal” which begins at 6:00pm in the Social Hall. It will be followed at approximately 7:15pm with the traditional liturgy of Holy Communion and the Stripping of the Altar.

GOOD FRIDAY WORSHIP

A special liturgy filled with prayers, Bible readings, comforting hymns, darkness, and the tolling of bells will be part of our worship on this, the most solemn day for all believers and members of the St. Peter’s faith community. This service begins at 8:00pm. (Please note a later starting time due to Daylight Savings Time.)

boxtops

If you aren’t already collecting these box top logos for another school – please consider bringing them in for Glade Run Lutheran Services.

Collect box tops from your favorite grocery and toiletry items and bring them to the church and put them in the designated brown envelope attached to the bulletin board. Each box top represents 10 cents for St. Stephen’s Lutheran Academy. You’ll be surprised how quickly they add up! Thank you to all who have been faithful in bringing these box tops in.....Glade Run is very grateful

FELLOWSHIP HOUR VOLUNTEERS

handsup
Volunteers are needed to help serve our fellowship hour which follows Sunday worship. Responsibilities include providing cold drink for 30 people, set-up, and clean up. If you can give some time to keep this valuable hospitality ministry part of St. Peter’s, simply sign the sheet on the information table.

lutherlyn
Camp Lutherlyn has been providing “life Changing Adventures in Faith” for young and old alike since 1948. Lutherlyn combines the love of God, fun, friends, swimming, adventure challenges, Bible study, worship, cookouts, campfires, discoveries in nature, opportunities to hear the Word of God in exciting ways, and a few surprises into unforgettable Life Changing Adventures

Brochures that explain all the camping weeks this summer will be available from the pastor in early March. There are wonderful camping weeks being offered for those in Grades 4-12. Also, there are some “short week” experiences for those in Grades 2 & 3. At the present time, check out the information on camp posted on the bulletin board in the hallway.

Also, remember that St. Peter’s offers Campership money so that our children and youth can attend camp.

If you have any questions about camp, please talk to Pastor Carl.

10-anniversary
It is hard to believe, but we have been in this church building for 10 years now. From its early beginnings up to the present day, God has richly blessed this congregation. Many have passed through our doors and have been blessed by our Ministry. Many outside these walls have also been touched by our generous outreach.

Join your church family on Sunday, March 20th when we celebrate this special occasion. Come and lift your voice in song and praise as we thank God for his blessings.

Following worship we will have a catered meal. Make sure that you place your name on the sign-up sheet.
